World Environment Day on Lord Howe Island

World Environment Day (WED) is global community environmental awareness observed every year on June 5, since 1975. The aim to raise global awareness, to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet we live on. It is run by the United Nations Environment Program.

What better place to observe such an important day than on our very on pristine Lord Howe Island. Where nature is at every turn, and every where you look, from ocean, to shore, to sub tropical rain forest and the peaks of Mount Gower.

Our ideal locations: Arajilla Retreat surrounded in Kentia palms, or Blue Peter Beach House, I short walk over the road to the stunning Lagoon. Perfect locations to observer such an important day.
